At first glance, the nightlife presents itself as a bar full of people, concerts, partying and wildness. But after a long conversation with the audience, we came up with something else. Those wild parties are actually only a few in the total number of nights. But what we experience more often as nightlife is a certain magical solitude and silence in the world, when everything is asleep and we can fully hear our thoughts and feelings without distraction. That is the true nightlife.
And that is how our writer K. Nacht came to life.
Gradually a complex story of a writer taking a cigar break on a mild summer evening was created. Outside is the world of the night city as we know it. Inside, however, a world of fantasy comes to life, with books of various genres lying around the room, from the "pen" of our character, whose plot spills out into space.
The 3x2.2m painting is airy and spacious from afar, but up close it is full of microworlds, characters and adventures.
This painting is one of the audience's favourites. Many people have said to us "That's me". Whether men or women, they see themselves at night watching over a sleeping city.
